How Do You Keep Your Google Rankings When Moving a Site to a New Panel?
Keeping the old address structure, setting up redirects correctly and transferring all content: six points to watch during a migration.

Moving a site scares most businesses: “Will my Google ranking suffer?” Done right, it does not. What matters is keeping addresses and content as intact as possible and making the switch in a controlled way.
Why can rankings suffer?
Search engines recognize pages by their addresses. If addresses change and the old ones are not redirected to the new ones, the links and rankings you earned are lost. If content is transferred incompletely, the value of the page drops as well.
Six critical points
- Keep the address structure. Use the old addresses as they are wherever possible.
- Set up redirects for changed addresses. When an old address is opened, it should permanently redirect to the new one.
- Transfer titles and descriptions. Page titles and meta descriptions should stay the same or be improved.
- Move images and texts completely. Pages, forms and products should be transferred in full.
- Preview the new site. Go through all pages before it goes live.
- Monitor after the move. Track visitor and visibility numbers for a few weeks.
How do we do it?
You send the link to your old site; we move its pages, forms and products to the new panel and keep the old address structure as far as possible. The migration is free. For details, take a look at the website migration page.
Example scenario
Think of the site of a nine-year-old clinic: nearly thirty pages, two forms, hundreds of images. The owner sends the link to the old site, the pages and forms are moved to the new panel, the old addresses are kept as far as possible, a theme is chosen and the preview is approved. The old site stays live until the new one is ready.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to shut down the old site right away?
No. We put the new site live only after you preview and approve it.
How long does the migration take?
The time depends on the size of the site; we pin it down during the demo call.
Can I edit the site myself after the move?
Yes. You can change text and images by double-clicking directly on the site.
